How Am I Doing? I arrived at Mater Dolorosa for my last day of community service. When the delivery truck arrived I had to help unload most of the food. This week was really crazy because there was so much food. This was great because people were getting so much food, but it was hard packing all that food.
I then helped load up the car with all the food. We then went to the same apartment complex as the last few week. I had to deliver half of the food myself. After I was done we all met in the lobby and left.

Day 4 With My Mentor
Date of Service: March 3, 2011 Time Spent: 3 Hours Total Time: 27 Hours
Action: -Unloading delivery truck

Next Action: On Tuesday I will return to Mater Dolorosa to complete my 30 hours of community service.
How Am I Doing?: When I got to Mater Dolorosa, I found and checked in with my mentor Mary. The delivery truck arrived and I brought in most of the food. Then I went outside to pack the bags we would be delivering. After that was finished I went back in to help pack more bags.
I then collected the bags we would be delivering and brought them to the car. This week we were delivering to the same apartment complex. This week however I only had to deliver on the second floor by myself and then helped out on the other floors.

Next Action: On Tuesday I am going back to Mater Dolorosa where I will once again help my mentor Mary pack bags of food and deliver the food to people.
How Am I Doing?: I arrived at the church and checked in with my mentor Mary. After signing in and the daily announcements, the delivery truck arrived. We brought the food inside and placed it on the tables around the room. I then went outside where the vegetables were, and packed bags for my mentor.
When all the bags were full of food, I gathered 12 bags and brought them to my mentors car. Then we went over to the east side of South City where most of the food had to be delivered. This week all of the food was to delivered to peoples houses instead of apartments.

Next Action: I plan to return to Mater Dolorosa on Tuesday and help my mentor deliver food to people again.
How Am I Doing? I arrived at Mater Dolorosa and met with my mentor Mary. I then helped set things up around the room before the delivery truck arrived. After some time the truck arrived and I helped take the food off and bring it inside. Mary then had me help her pack the bags that she would be delivering later. I then helped her and a couple other volunteers bring the food out to their cars.
Once everything was loaded up, I went with Mary to deliver the food. That day we were scheduled to make a delivery to an apartment complex. Mary gave me half of the list while she took the other half and had me make the deliveries. After we were done we met by the elevators and went home.

Next Action: By next week I plan on having my mentor and starting those hours
How Am I Doing?: Today was like the previous days of community service. The delivery truck arrived a little after 9 o'clock. I helped unload the boxes onto the tables around the room. We then took brown paper bags and filled them with food from around the room. Then I helped load the bags into the drivers cars.
After that was finished I went with one of the volunteers to help deliver the food. We went to a retirement complex where we went to 12 different rooms throughout the complex to give the people their food.

-Handed out bags of food to people
Next Action: On Tuesday I'll be back at Mater Dolorosa packing bags of food and finishing up my community service hours.
How Am I Doing?: I arrived at the Hillside Church of God at 8 o'clock and found I was one of the only volunteers there because of the rain. So this meant I had to move a majority of the food inside the building. After all of the food was inside we started to place the boxes around the room at the tables they would be handed out at. I then helped setup cans of food on one of the tables.
After I finished that I went to help one of the other volunteers outside where we were handing out more food. While we were outside it started to rain which made things a little difficult but didn't stop us. I was taking peoples tickets and giving them plastic bags to hold their food. After everyone was gone I helped clean up.
